The one thing we all really hate... White shirts that are see-through! It is seriously one of the most annoying things! And that is why I am SO GLAD my good friend Brigitte made a white tee that is non-see-through! It is so cool!
The Favorite Basic Tee has a thin nude lining underneath it so it essentially makes an even canvas for the top white layer of the shirt. Don't let that scare you! The lining doesn't make the shirt thick or anything! And don't be scared about it not laying right, because it doesn't! And that is exactly why I absolutely LOVE this tee! Is that it doesn't feel like so many layers that you can't breathe, even in the summer. Anyways, back to the canvas. It's SO COOL because it makes the white an even white color! Your proof:
Alright, so WHY do we love white tees? Because you can literally pair them with or under anything! Remember in the **********last blog************* I mentioned layering? It's just one of those pieces that is such a wardrobe BASIC that you'd be crazy not to have one too!
Now that we've determined how great and awesome these tees are, we still have a very important question... Do we like the V-Neck Tee or the Round Neck Tee? Totally a trick question. BECAUSE WE LOVE BOTH! And here is why you need to love both!
First, the Round Neck... It's perfect for layering! If you put it under overalls, a jumper, or even a dress it will look so dang cute! A rounded neck is also flattering on most people! so you could totally just wear it as is! BUUUT since it's fall I'd totally be wearing it under something, whether it be a jacket, cardigan, or even with a dress like how Brigitte is wearing it under this cute Overall Dress!
And the V-Neck Tee... I personally LOVE wearing v-necks on their own, without much layering. Because it's kinda hard to layer with that kind of cut! BUT that doesn't mean it's impossible! I think it would look sooo cute dressed up with a blazer, car coat, camel coat, or even a chesterfield coat! (Not that I knew what any of those were until I just looked them up, so I'll include some pictures for you)
So it's just a matter of what kind of look or style you want! And when it comes to the basics of fashion.... BREAK ALL DEM RULES! Except the Basic White Tee one.... Can't do that to me;)
