The SexyModest community bands together to help friends in Texas

We’ve always believed that we have the best. community. ever.

But this week... y’all blew us away.

When our Texas friends got hit hard by extreme weather last week, they desperately needed some help.

People didn’t have access to water, food, or much-needed supplies, so you can imagine how Brigitte (a momma of four herself) felt when she found out.

Brig called out to all the @modestshoppin followers, asking for donations and supplies -- anything people could do to help.

And that’s when you all stepped up in a BIG way, friends.

In a matter of TWO DAYS, enough donations poured in to fill an entire semi trailer full of supplies -- water, food, formula, diapers, and more.

(Guys, you made Brig cry -- but in a good way. 😊)

Brig and Jase were prepared to pay for the cost of transportation, but that’s when miracle #2 happened...

Our pals Bre and Derek Miller got Legacy Logistics trucking companies and Balkan Express onboard, and before we knew it, we had TWO semis loaded up with supplies -- and they were going to drive it all down to Texas at no charge.

(Cue more tears!)

Brig was so touched, she wrote this on Insta:

You guys!!! You did it!!! You filled a 53 foot semi with essentials for Texas! In spite of everything I hope you know that people are good. Like really really good. We had helpers, donations, stuff getting dropped off in trailer loads and car loads and truthfully I had to keep the tears from flowing most of the day! My warehouse manager Jesse showed up on a Saturday with not a question asked but excited to help. My DMs have blown up with thank you’s...you guys...I can’t take one ounce of credit. YOU all made this happen. This truck is set to leave Monday morning to Austin, Texas full of water, diapers, wipes, formula, toilet paper and hygiene products! This Instagram tribe I get to call mine is full of the kind of people you want on your team. Sometimes miracles are just good people with kind hearts❤️ Thank you again Legacy Logistics & Balkan Express for donating the semi and the driver.

The local news in Utah even covered the story, and you can watch the full clip here.

Just a little taste of what can happen when we rally together and combine our small acts of service.

Thank you all for being a light in a sometimes dark world.

Your kindness, generosity, and compassion inspire us to be better people -- and a better company. ❤️

How you can help Texas

Things are starting to warm up for our friends in the south, but many Texans still need help in the aftermath of the storm.

If you’re looking for ways you can reach out or donate, check out this list of organizations that are working to help Texans get back on their feet.

And always remember: people are GOOD.

(We just happen to believe that our SexyModest community includes some of the very best.)
